An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established repro and platemaking company, creating printing plates from artwork files. These are predominantly for food and beverage packaging and/or labels. This is a fast-paced environment and the successful applicant will receive direct one on one training from the plate room operators. Once trained the applicant will cover the following disciplines:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation/creation of photopolymer plates for printing production
Checking all plates and preparing them for printing
Ensuring plates are accurately created and proofed on time
Inputting accurate information into a Management Information System
Liaising with the Studio Manager, customer services team and customers to ensure timelines are met
Working closely with the Studio Manager to plan jobs going into production
When full training is complete you may be asked to work shifts

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00 but after training, the shifts will start at 5:30am, 9am or 12:30, Monday to Friday
Benefits: 24 days + Holidays, need to save 3 days for between Christmas and New Year
Salary: National Minimum wage for age
