Mary Godwin Under Fives Playgroup are looking for someone with a passion for childcare and education, who finds pleasure in assisting children's learning and growth.

We are looking for someone with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent to join our team . This would be on a part time basis. Applicants must be available for an 8am start and a 3.30pm finish. The position is term time only.

We are a small playgroup on the edge of Swindon Village, taking children from 2 years up until they start school. We provide a warm and caring environment where children can feel confident to develop their learning and skills.

We are looking for a team member who is able to support us with this, a practitioner who is able to plan exciting and stimulating learning, based on the children's interests. Experienced in delivering the eyfs and able to liaise with parents about their child's development is a must.

The applicant should be willing to keep up with relevant training, development and be familiar with monitoring child development and next steps.

Duties

Assist with the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support the planning and implementation of educational activities suitable for various age groups Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster positive relationships Support management in daily administrative tasks and organisational duties Assist with organising outings as required. Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes learning and development Support the management team in implementing policies related to health, safety, and child protection

Requirements

Experience with children, nursery work, or early childhood education is highly desirable Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to supervise children effectively Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work well within a team and independently when required. Childcare qualifications are necessary. Organised, responsible, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 - 26 per week
