Location: Northampton

Salary: 26,000 to 30,000 dependent on experience



Contract type: Full time, permanent



Working hours: Monday to Friday, either 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm - office-based with some flexibility

About the role




We are looking for a Play Designer to join our team in Northampton to provide a creative flair and attention to detail on projects for the developers and local authorities we work with. We are open to applicants with previous experience within the Play Design sector, or those who have design skills and knowledge looking to begin their career in the Play industry. Responsibilities



Production of detailed AutoCAD layouts for playground designs. Creation of specification and image boards for Landscape. Create and produce creative display boards for 3D materials. Liaising with seniors and sales teams regarding project briefs and creative output. Quantification of designed play areas and source costings for materials. Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency and precision.

Requirements



Design-related degree, such as Product Design, Architecture and Graphic Design, or similar Design qualifications and relevant experience. High level of IT literacy, with basic knowledge of 2D and/or 3D AutoCAD software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign) or similar software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic mathematical skills. An interest in the Play/Playground and Landscaping sector, with creative flair and problem-solving. Previous experience in the Play or Playgrounds industry is highly advantageous, with an awareness of Play Industry Standards such as BS EN 1176. Commercial and budget awareness is beneficial.
