Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Leader to be able to work as a part of a team within our nursery. The ideal candidate will with a passion for working with children. This role involves, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of childcare. The Play Leader will play a vital role in supporting the team to deliver exceptional care and educational activities, fostering a positive atmosphere for children and staff alike.

Responsibilities

Support team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures Oversee daily activities within the nursery, including educational programmes and play sessions Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with regulatory standards Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding children's progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones Lead by example to promote a positive, inclusive, and professional environment.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues Experience working with children, preferably within early childhood education or childcare environments Knowledge of child development principles and safety regulations in nurseries Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate patience when working with young children A proactive approach to problem-solving and team motivation

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
