We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Play Leader to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of childcare. The position offers an opportunity to lead a team in delivering exceptional early childhood education and care.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support childcare staff during your designated shift, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures Coordinate daily activities and routines to promote a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management regarding children's progress and any concerns Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Assist in planning age-appropriate activities that foster development and learning Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to team members Handle any behavioural or operational issues promptly and professionally Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation

Skills

Proven management and leadership experience within childcare or nursery settings Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with parents, children, and team members Experience working with children, including early childhood education or nursery experience Knowledge of health and safety standards related to childcare environments Ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining a positive atmosphere Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently Valid driving licence (desirable) for transportation duties Passionate about early childhood development with a caring attitude towards children

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
