School Childcare Club Playworker

to work within our

Reading

area primary school(s).

This role would be perfect for somebody with play worker experience within a childcare setting.

We have a fantastic reputation and have excellent relationships with our Partnered Schools and the Teaching teams we work with, the families who we support with this provision, the team who we support fully in their roles, and most importantly... the children in our care!

Job details:

Days:

Monday - Friday 15 hour per week (potential of Breakfast Clubs too).

3.00pm-6.00pm

Overtime may also be available during school holidays if this is required.

Requirements of a After School Assistant:

- Must have experience of working with children

- Must be happy, friendly and fun!

- Must be a team player (this is very important to us; the children will love to have you on their Dodgeball team of course!)

- Must have experience of leading a team and being able to delegate tasks

- Must have experience of working with and communicating well with parents

Duties may include:

- Supervising and engaging with children during playtime activities

- Organise age-appropriate games, crafts, and provisional areas

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children

- Assist with snack time and mealtime routines

- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding their child's participation and behaviour

- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive play environment
