PALS After School Club provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children at the end of the school day. We focus on play, creativity and wellbeing, ensuring every child feels valued, supported and happy.
The Role
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable
Playworker
to join our friendly team. You will support children during after-school sessions by facilitating engaging activities, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate play activities (indoor and outdoor)
Encourage positive social interaction and inclusive play
Support children's emotional, social and physical development
Prepare and supervise snack times in line with food hygiene standards
Follow safeguarding, health & safety and club policies
Work as part of a team to create a welcoming environment for children and families
About You
Enjoy working with children and have a positive, patient attitude
Are reliable, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team
Have good communication skills
Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
Relevant childcare or playworker qualifications are desirable (or willingness to work towards one)
Safeguarding
PALS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to complete an
enhanced DBS check
and provide suitable references.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 8.55-12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 12.5 per week
