We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop management and leadership skills within a childcare setting, supporting children's early development through play and organised activities.
Duties
Organise and supervise play activities suitable for children of various ages, ensuring safety at all times
Support children in their social interactions, fostering inclusive and positive behaviour
Assist with the planning and implementation of educational and recreational programmes
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children to explore and learn
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare
Support the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary
Monitor children's wellbeing during activities and respond promptly to any concerns or incidents
Skills
Experience working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding of early childhood needs
Strong childcare knowledge, including early childhood education principles and nursery experience
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children and parents alike
Ability to organise activities that promote development and fun in a safe environment
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

Successful candidate will be expected to complete safeguard training, Paediatric first aid, Food safety level 2 and other necessary training for the role.
