We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team in our busy before and after school club. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during organised play activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood development and experienced in managing children's activities. The Play Worker will contribute to the positive growth and development of children through organised play, fostering social skills, creativity, and confidence. This role is term-time only , 17.5 hours a week split from 7.45 -9.00 AM and 3.15- 5.30 PM.

Responsibilities
Supervise children during play sessions, ensuring their safety at all times
Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social interaction
Support children in developing their motor skills through various play-based exercises
Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for children and staff
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare
Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and materials used during activities
Monitor behaviour and intervene appropriately to promote positive interactions
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
Proven management and leadership skills in a childcare or nursery setting
Experience working with children, ideally within early childhood education or nursery environments
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents
Childcare qualifications are desirable however experience with children is essential.
Ability to organise activities that cater to different age groups and developmental stages
A caring attitude combined with patience, creativity, and organisational abilities
