Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to support children in a dynamic childcare environment. The ideal candidate will organise engaging activities, supervise play sessions, and foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood development, management, and leadership within a vibrant team setting. The Play Worker will be responsible for ensuring children's wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, and supporting their developmental needs through creative play and organised activities. Hours of work would be 3pm-7pm

Duties

Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety at all times Organise and facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development Support children in developing communication skills through interactive play Maintain a clean and organised play area in accordance with health and safety standards Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Assist with the planning of educational programmes aligned with early childhood education principles Support children with behavioural management and conflict resolution when necessary Drive or accompany children on outings or trips as required, ensuring their safety throughout

Experience

Prior experience working with children in childcare, nursery, or early childhood education settings is highly desirable

You must have a qualification in Playwork Level 3 (can be transition to Playwork)

Experience with organising activities that stimulate learning and development in young children Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety procedures Driving experience is advantageous for accompanying children on outings or trips, Not necessary though

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
