Happy Minds are looking for a Play Worker to support the set up and run of its After School Provision at Carnforth Community Primary School.

You will be responsible for supporting the Manager to create a provision which provides safe, high-quality care and play opportunities.

The responsibilities of the role 'Play Worker' include but are not limited to the following:

Day-to-day club playworker

? Support the Wrap Around Care Manager in the delivery of an effective childcare provision which provides safe, high-quality care and play opportunities.

? Ensure that parents, carers and other visitors are made to feel welcome on visiting the facility and that they receive appropriate information and advice

? Plan and deliver, with the support of the Managers, engaging activities that cater for a range of interests and age groups.

? Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children attending the club

? Maintain health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Planning & Preparation

? Provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities.

? To provide and inclusive environment where all children feel welcomed and listened to.

?To undertake necessary training.

Additional

? To develop and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.

? To ensure the manager is kept informed of all matters relating to the running of the provision.

? To consult with children and and involve them in planning activities.

Hours - 16 hours per week (term-time only or all year-round available).

Core hours: 2:50 pm- 6.00 pm Monday - Friday

Licence/Certification:

? Enhanced DBS (required)

? Safeguarding Certification (required)

? Paediatric First Aid Certification (desirable)

? Level 2/3 Childcare Practitioner (desirable)

Pay: 12.50 per hour
