We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable
Play Worker
to join our busy and friendly out of school provision. The role involves working as part of a small team to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children before and after the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver a variety of high-quality play opportunities in a safe and welcoming setting.
Provide care and supervision for children, including escorting them safely to and from school.
Set up and pack away play spaces and resources, ensuring equipment and furniture are used safely.
Prepare and serve snacks, following hygiene, health and safety procedures.
Administer first aid when required (training can be provided).
Listen to and involve children in planning and evaluating activities.
Support with club administration and record keeping when needed.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and school staff to support effective communication.
Attend relevant training and work within all club policies and procedures to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
About You:
Ideally qualified to
Level 3 in Early Years, Playwork, or a related childcare qualification
.
Experience of working with children is preferred, but not essential -- full training can be provided, and
apprentice applicants are welcome
.
You'll be kind, patient, and enthusiastic about creating fun and meaningful experiences for children.
You'll work well as part of a team and show initiative when needed.
