Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education, ensuring that children have the opportunity to learn, play, and develop in a nurturing setting. This role involves managing activities and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Duties



Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and creativity in various activities. Manage behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate techniques to resolve conflicts and promote cooperation among children. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team environment focused on the children's needs. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and any incidents that occur during play sessions. Ensure that the play area is clean, organised, and equipped with suitable resources for children's activities.

Experience



Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting or nursery is essential. A background in early childhood education or related qualifications is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire children to engage in play. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children and parents alike. A proactive approach to managing activities and fostering an inclusive environment for all children.
