The Yard is an award-winning charity that runs adventure play services for children with disabilities and/or additional support needs and their families.

As a Playworker, you will plan and deliver a range of inclusive, social, recreational and adventure play activities at The Yard.

Position:

Playworker (Full-time)

Location:

Linn Park Glasgow

Salary:

12.80 per hour (24,627 per annum)

Hours:

37 hours per week across a 5-day pattern, Tuesday to Saturday

About the role:

Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of the people you are supporting. You will play an active role in the set-up, delivery and development of recreational activities, engaging children in creative play and the management of suitable activities for the different ages and interests of children.

This job is for you if you have:

Knowledge and experience of facilitating indoor and outdoor play opportunities and environments and leading recreational activities A demonstrable understanding of, and experience in, the value of play and working with children and young people with disabilities A proven ability to work in a flexible and creative manner, as an individual and as part of a team Knowledge and experience of facilitating young people's social activities
