We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and the ability to foster their development through play and educational activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and caregivers.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Support children in developing their social skills through group activities and cooperative play.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive team environment focused on the best interests of the children.
Skills
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong management and leadership abilities to guide children in their play activities.
Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children and adults alike.
Experience working in a nursery setting is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation if required.
A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their growth through creative play experiences.
