Job description
The Play worker will work along side the team in the day to day running of the out of school club, to create a safe, caring and welcoming environment for children and their families.
Assist with the setting up and putting away in the playroom each day.
Compliance with Minimum Standards.
Contribute to planning play programmes.
Maintain records.
Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications/ Experience: QCF level 3 in Playwork, Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD) or equivalent.
Experience working in a childcare setting is desirable.
Safeguarding Certificate, Paediatric 1st Aid, Food Hygiene certificate will be required on starting the position.
Candidates should be able to communicate with all children in an appropriate manner, being responsive to their needs and building positive relationships with them.
Additional hours available during school holidays
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.20-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
