We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. As a Play Worker, you will support children's development through play activities, ensuring they have fun while learning essential social skills. This role is vital in fostering a positive atmosphere where children can explore their creativity and build friendships.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate play activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Encourage positive interactions among children, helping to resolve conflicts and promote teamwork. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to child development and playwork practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children in a play or educational setting is desirable. A relevant qualification in childcare or playwork at least a level 2. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. A creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging activities that cater to diverse interests. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a safe environment. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting their rights.
