Job Description

Our trained staff take genuine interest in a child's development, helping early years skills including reading and writing, as well as providing a wide range of activities all carefully planned, ranging from art and design projects to sports activities or outdoor play. It's the best way for a child to start and end the day! Children can also enjoy either a healthy breakfast of cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit and juice or a nutritious after school hot dinner before they are collected at the end of the day.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 3-6pm and holiday club hours to suit.



Job description



Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents or carers.

Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.

Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.

. Cooking hot dinners on a rota basis.

Administering first aid when necessary.

Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.

Helping with club administration, where necessary.

Encouraging parental involvement in the club.

Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.

Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.

Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.

Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

Summary



As a Play Worker, you will be instrumental in fostering a safe and engaging environment for children, utilizing your experience in early childhood education and childcare. Reporting to the Childcare Manager, your role involves planning and facilitating activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development. Your strong communication skills will be essential in building relationships with children and their families. Additionally, your leadership and management abilities will enhance team collaboration, ensuring a high standard of care and support for every child in our program. Qualifications



Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting Background in early childhood education Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and parents Leadership and management experience in a team environment Proficiency in English, both written and verbal Valid driving license may be beneficial for transportation needs
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

DBS (required) Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred) Safeguarding Certification (preferred)
