Meldrum After School Klub (MASK)

Meldrum Primary School

Hours available:

up to

24.5 hrs/week

(contracted) or

8 hrs/week

option. If these hours do not suit you we may be able to accommodate a job share.

About MASK

MASK is a long-established, friendly club providing high-quality

before and after school care

and

holiday care

for primary-aged children. We're growing our team and are looking for an enthusiastic

Playworker/Practitioner

who enjoys creating safe, fun, and engaging experiences for children.

What you'll do

Welcome & handover:

Greet children before school and safely escort them to their entry points; collect children after school and bring them to the club.

Play & activities:

Lead a mix of board games, arts & crafts, outdoor games/sports, and child-led play. (Got a special skill or passion? Children love learning from you!)

Learning support:

Offer calm support with reading, homework, and extra schoolwork.

Outdoor time:

Make the most of direct access to the school playground.

Snacks & wellbeing:

Provide healthy before and after-school snacks.

Safety first:

Carry out risk assessments and follow health & safety and safeguarding policies.
What you'll bring (advantageous, not essential)

Experience

in a childcare setting

SVQ Level 3

(Childcare/Playwork) or working towards it

First Aid

and

Paediatric First Aid

Food Hygiene

certificate

Safeguarding/Child Protection

training Knowledge of

Health & Social Care Standards

and the

UNCRC

PVG

and

SSSC

registration (we can support with this)
