PUTTING THE PLAYING CHILD AT THE HEART OF
EVERYTHING WE DO!
Play Academy is a team of committed individuals who provide before and after care for children aged 4-11, that attend Calverley
Church Of England Primary School. The club is run across a split site at The Barn, Calverley and the school itself, which are both great settings for the children and staff alike.
We are looking for someone, to start in January 2026, who is friendly and welcoming with both children, parents and staff and displays an enthusiastic, highly motivated, energetic and creative approach. Being able to adapt to new challenges and work as part of an effective team is vital as we are a busy, pack away provision.
Responsibilities include ensuring the children's safety and well-being, providing and setting up a fun and interactive play environment and working effectively as a team member. There is also an expectation that you will take on cleaning responsibilities too, in order to offer the safest play environment for the children.
The management team are committed to not only putting the playing child at the heart of everything that we do but also ensuring our amazing staff team are recognised for their hard work & dedication.
This position is term time only and operates within the following hours
.
Breakfast Hours - 7.15am - 9.00am
After School Club - 3.00pm - 6.00pm Mon-Thurs (5.30pm finish Fri)
We will also consider taking individuals who are only interested in 5 breakfast shifts a week or 5 afternoon shifts a week.
Ideally applicants should have experience in working with children and have
one
of the following:
NVQ level 3 qualification in Childcare
NVQ level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education
NVQ level 3 qualification in Play work.
However, we are also open to applications from individuals who are just enthusiastic & passionate about our organisation and what we stand for.
Hourly rate varied, dependent on experience/qualifications (term time only)
