Play Worker
to join our team during the key morning and evening periods. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a fun, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged
Hours - Monday to Friday 7:30am-9am and 5pm-6pm
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster creativity, social skills, and physical development.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop their communication skills.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas to ensure a safe environment.
Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers as necessary.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to connect with children on their level.
Ability to drive is an advantage but not mandatory.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to adapt activities based on children's needs.
