Level 3 or Equivalent in Childcare and Education. Up to date Pediatric First Aid certificate and Safeguarding training. Experience of working in a nursery essential. Two references required and CRB/DBS required. Salary will be discussed at interview.
Working closely with the other adults in the room, you will contribute to the planning of art/craft and play activities that are stimulating and specific to the needs and abilities of the children.
Have a clear understanding of Safeguarding and ensure the protection of all children within the nursery accordingly.
You will have your own Key children within the group, ensuring that the children's information is kept up to date, including Interests and Next Steps.
Make observations of the children and record them on the Online Learning Journal using the Development Matters Document.
To form positive relationships with parents/carers and liaise the them at the beginning and end of the day, regarding their children's progress and personal development and encourage Parent/Carer involvement.
To liaise with other professionals when required.
Supervising snack times and lunch time, ensuring dietary and Cultural needs are met and consideration is given to allergy requirements.
Setting up the playroom at the end of the day ready for the next session. With age appropriate play and learning opportunities, according to the children's needs and interests.
Support children's transition to the next phase of their nursery journey, report writing to document their time with you in the Playroom.
Actively participate in staff meetings, training and professional development to stay updated with the latest best practices.
Ensure confidentiality at all times with regards to the children, parents and staff.
Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Nursery Management team.

8 hour shift Monday to Friday
