We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role requires experience in childcare, particularly with children 4 -11 years, to help manage activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
Communicate effectively with children, fostering an environment of trust and support.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate strategies to encourage good conduct.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
Drive initiatives that promote the importance of play in child development.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is preferred
A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young children.
