Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare and experience working with children in various settings, including schools, nurseries wraparound care. This role requires a confident, self motivated person with the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children from age 4-10 years. Manage group dynamics effectively, encouraging positive interactions among children. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team atmosphere. Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences through creative play.

Qualifications

Previous experience in childcare or working with children is preferred. A background in childcare, with relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development. Previous experience of safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene preferable.
Hours

Monday 3.15-5.30

Tuesday 7.30-9.00

Wednesday 7.30-9.00/3.15-5.45

Thursday 7.30-9.00/3.15-5.00

Friday 3.15-5.00

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.36-12.68 per hour

Expected hours: 12.75 per week
