Playworker - Breakfast & Afterschool Clubs

If you enjoy bringing energy, play and calm structure to children aged 4 to 11, you'll love this role. A fantastic, fun and varied opportunity for anyone who enjoys spending time inspiring and supporting children, being a playworker is so much more than just... play!

Location: Coldfair Green Primary School, Saxmundham

Hours: 20 hours per week

covering both clubs during term time:

Breakfast Club

- 7:45 - 8:45

Afterschool Club

- 3:15pm - 6:00pm

Term-Time Only

Join our friendly team delivering fun and safe activities for primary school children before and after school to provide valuable learning and social opportunities. You'll be a valuable part of their day, making sure they get the most out of these sessions.

Day-to-day tasks include:

Leading fun and engaging play activities Supervising children aged 4-11 in a school club setting Ensuring safeguarding and safety procedures are always followed Serving snacks and promoting healthy habits Working closely with parents, carers, and colleagues

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Aged 18+ (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations) Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or play settings Confidence supporting play in a structured but fun environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (but not required):

A childcare qualification (or working towards one) First Aid, Safeguarding, or Food Hygiene certificates
