Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be capable of performing a variety of tasks related to installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. Utilise power tools and hand tools to complete plumbing tasks efficiently. Perform heavy lifting as required for the installation of pipes and fixtures. Weld pipes and fittings as necessary to ensure secure connections. Assemble various plumbing components according to specifications. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or areas for improvement. Apply basic maths skills for measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes accurately. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous for transporting materials. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence is required for this position. Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing are desirable but not essential.
