Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in various tools and techniques, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating equipment. Utilise welding techniques for system installations and repairs as necessary. Employ hand tools, power tools, and plumbing skills to complete tasks effectively. Assemble components of heating systems according to specifications. Perform carpentry work related to the installation of heating units. Lift heavy equipment and materials safely during installations and repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout all tasks.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of equipment to job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
