This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The Plumber will work closely with other tradespeople on construction sites, ensuring that all plumbing work meets industry standards and regulations. Must have own tools and transport

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in accordance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly of various plumbing components. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion. Handle heavy lifting as required for the installation of plumbing materials and fixtures.

Skills

Strong knowledge of construction practices and plumbing techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to plumbing work. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. Mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems is a plus. Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and materials used in plumbing installations. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols. Previous maintenance person experience is advantageous for additional service offerings.
