Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber / Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of gas systems and plumbing systems ensuring safety and efficiency in all installations and repairs. This role involves working with various tools and equipment, requiring both technical expertise and physical capability.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings. Investigate leaks and repair. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively. Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate gas systems with existing infrastructure. Perform assembly tasks related to gas installations, ensuring all components are fitted correctly. Carry out heavy lifting as required during installation processes. Maintain accurate records of work completed and any necessary follow-up actions. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding gas systems.

Experience

The successful candidate should have:

Proven experience in plumbing or gas engineering or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations during installations. Skills in carpentry for any structural modifications needed during installations. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transportation of tools and materials to job sites. Candidates who possess experience with plumbing, welding, hand tools, power tools, assembly, and heavy lifting will be highly regarded for this position.
