Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of gas systems and safety regulations, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances are carried out to the highest standards. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and ideally commercial properties. Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with gas systems, providing effective solutions in a timely manner. Assemble and install pipework, fittings, and fixtures as required for gas supply. Perform routine maintenance checks on gas equipment to prevent potential failures. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspections and repairs performed.

Skills

Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to gas engineering tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble components effectively. Basic maths skills for calculations related to measurements and installations. Experience with heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Familiarity with commercial driving practices is advantageous for transporting equipment when necessary. Welding skills are a nice-to-have for certain installation tasks.
