Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drainage systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective design, installation, and maintenance of drainage systems in both commercial and residential settings.

Duties

Design and implement drainage solutions that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct site assessments to evaluate drainage needs and identify potential issues. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to install drainage systems. Assemble components of drainage systems, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Perform plumbing tasks related to drainage installations, including the connection of pipes and fittings. Collaborate with other engineers and construction teams to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during installation. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills:

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to drainage engineering. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment as needed. Experience in heavy lifting and assembling complex components safely. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Familiarity with commercial driving may be beneficial for transporting materials to job sites. Previous experience as a carpenter or in welding is advantageous but not essential.
