Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in plumbing systems, ensuring that installations, repairs, and maintenance are carried out to the highest standards. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks. Conduct assessments of plumbing systems to identify issues and recommend solutions. Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using appropriate techniques. Perform heavy lifting as required for various plumbing tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations during all plumbing operations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plumbing Technician or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for installations and repairs. Experience with welding techniques is an advantage but not essential. A valid commercial driving licence is desirable for transportation of materials to job sites. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team environment.
