Role Description

We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Plumbing Trade Counter Assistant to join our team in Beaconsfield, working within our busy Plumbing & Heating department.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines plumbing product sales with stock control and warehouse responsibilities. You'll be working closely with trade customers, suppliers, and the wider branch team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Responsibilities:

Providing face-to-face and telephone support to trade and retail plumbing customers Processing orders, preparing quotes, and handling customer queries with confidence Proactively making outbound calls to follow up leads and grow local sales Managing goods-in, stock movements, and showroom replenishment Picking stock for customer orders and maintaining accurate stock records Keeping the warehouse area clean, safe, and organised Occasionally making local deliveries in the company van (driving licence required)

Competitive Salary Offered

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Requirements

Proven experience in plumbing sales, ideally in a plumbers' merchant or trade counter setting Strong knowledge of plumbing and heating products A proactive, customer-first attitude with excellent communication skills Confidence using order systems, email, and stock management tools Good organisational skills and attention to detail A valid UK driving licence (essential) Eligibility to work in the UK Eligible to work in the UK
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 31,000.00-35,000.00 per year
