Job Description
Justteachers are looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Harrogate area. You'll be working with students who thrive on movement, structure, and strong routines. Many of these young people have profound and multiple learning disability (PMLD) and will need support to help them with some areas of their life, such as eating, washing or personal care.
This full-time, long-term position is available immediately, and we are actively shortlisting candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Utilize specialised teaching methods to promote communication, social skills, and academic growth. Establish a supportive and structured classroom environment that nurtures emotional and social development.
Candidate Requirements:
Demonstrate proven experience in teaching and supporting students with complex needs. Possess a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective teaching strategies. Provide two references from educational or school-based settings. Experience working with adults or children with complex or SEN needs within the last two years e.g Care Home, Residential Care Home, SEMH School or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)

Pay: 90.00-110.00 per day
