Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of foot and ankle conditions, ensuring the highest standard of patient care. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and mentoring, contributing to the development of junior staff.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and lower limbs to assess their conditions. Diagnose foot-related ailments and develop appropriate treatment plans. Perform surgical procedures as necessary, adhering to best practices in podiatric medicine. Educate patients on foot care, prevention strategies, and treatment options. Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient management. Participate in community outreach programmes to promote foot health awareness. Mentor and teach junior staff or students in clinical settings.

Experience

A degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification is essential. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of podiatric practices. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective patient interaction and documentation. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to patient management is an advantage. Experience or interest in teaching or mentoring is desirable, contributing to the professional development of others within the team.
