Main Purpose of Role





To assess the level of threat involved in Firearms Policing, Roads Policing, Public Order, Dogs and CBRN taking into account available intelligence, organisational demand, national and regional aspects and determine and make recommendations on behalf of the force to ensure it has the appropriate capability and capacity to mitigate those threats.



Preparation of dynamic assessment of Strategic Risk & Threat Assessments in the core areas of business of Firearms, Public Order, Road Policing, Dogs and CBRN, including the management of associated Risk registers





Management and development of the Chronicle Management system.





Line manager responsibilities





Key Skills & Experience Required



Knowledge of STRA processes as to Firearms, Roads Policing and public order based on knowledge and experience of these areas of business.



Analytical skills to prepare documents for sign off by Chief Officers, such as STRA and Standard Operating Procedures.



Good IT skills regarding database and research of force systems.



Knowledge of the business of Firearms/Roads Policing, Dogs and CBRN in order to identify and record organisational risks



Knowledge of force policies and process regarding the PDR system and career development/ wellbeing needs.

Vetting Level - Management - you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years
