\xe2\x80\x8bThe Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be partnered with an impressive clean tech innovator who are transforming smart energy technology to improve the flexibility and efficiency of electricity grids.

They are looking for a highly competent Policy Associate to join their policy team & help to deliver an ambitious strategy to support the rapid growth of the business. You will be supporting the day-to-day policy activities across the UK & Europe and will drive a marketplace approach to the development of flexibility markets.

The ideal candidate will be motivated & collaborative, with the ability collaborate with the ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment. They must also be able to resourceful & resilient with an enthusiastic & positive attitude. They will be an excellent communicator, who would be competent at representing the business in external meetings and at conferences.

Responsibilities include:

Analysing key policy & regulatory developments, including identifying impacts, opportunities & risks across each of the business\' functions.

Contributing to the development of thought leadership materials & ensuring that their products remain relevant to market developments.

Engaging & influencing key stakeholders such as government bodies, regulators, trade associations and flexibility service providers.

Developing an understanding of regulatory incentive mechanisms.

Requirements:

2+ years\' experience working in energy policy & regulations or relevant position

Good understanding of UK/EU energy markets, including structures and key players

Excellent communication skills

Strong stakeholder management skills

Experience working in a SaaS company, or at a start-up/scale-up would be beneficial

Hybrid working: 1-2x days per week in their London office

Salary: \xc2\xa330,000 - 35,000 + private healthcare & other company benefits
