Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer who can double up as multi trades to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and be proficient in laying polysafe flooring (including welding joints and cap & coving) and various types of flooring materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret schematics, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Duties

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately. Install a variety of flooring types, including vinyl, laminate, carpet, and hardwood. Prepare subfloors by ensuring they are clean, dry, and level before installation. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project completion. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times. Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction, particularly in floor laying or related fields. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in flooring installation. Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for making necessary adjustments during installations. Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Experience with construction painting is beneficial but not essential. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
