As a Post Office Counter Clerk, you are expected to:
Learn quickly on how to operate the Post Office Counter system
Delivering outstanding customer service consistently
Serve customers
Assist the team in ensuring Post Office is balanced weekly by ensuring an effective count of stock units.
Assist customers and giving advice and guidance to customers in relation to the selection of Post Office products and services.
Maintaining a clean and tidy Post Office
Working as part of a team to ensure targets are met and overall service is delivered
No sales driven targets

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Candidates will ideally have previous experience in a Post Office. The successful candidate will spend an initial 3 weeks training to ensure they receive the best training to prepare them for the role. More importantly, we are looking for candidates who are avid learners and must enjoy working in a fast paced environment, having a positive and flexible approach to work and most importantly put the customer at the heart of everything you do!
Please note that applicants must be fully flexible and be prepared to work all shifts for the opening hours of the Main Post Office counters (9:00-17:30 Mon-Fri and 9:00-12:30 Saturday). The successful candidate will undertake a P250 check which is required for all Post Office clerks and on successful receipt of a P250, candidates must undertake compliance tests to test their knowledge prior to serving on Post Office counters.
