The Opportunity:
To conduct a research project and contribute to its direction, management and reporting in accordance with the project aims, which overall are to study the development and plasticity of brain macrophages, including microglia.
This position is based in the laboratory of Professor Josef Priller, part of the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Edinburgh--a dynamic, collaborative research environment in one of Europe's most vibrant and historic cities.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week).
Your skills and attributes for success:
PhD or equivalent professional qualification and/or experience in the fields of neuroscience
Excellent knowledge and experience in neuroimmunology
Experience in cell culture
Experience in animal work
