About the Role:

Do you love Science and enjoy helping students reach their full potential? We are looking for skilled and reliable Science tutors to work with learners across Belfast. If you have experience teaching or tutoring at the post-primary level and are confident in the Northern Ireland curriculum, we'd love to connect with you!

Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging one-to-one or small-group Science lessons in person Teach students from Key Stage 3 through GCSE and A-Level (where applicable) Prepare customised lesson plans based on student goals and areas for improvement Track learner progress and adjust strategies when needed Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates

What We're Looking For:

Required:

Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related field Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring post-primary students Solid understanding of the NI Science curriculum Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics Dependable, professional, and approachable Patient and supportive with students of all abilities

Desirable:

Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) Experience supporting students with additional learning needs

Additional Information:

You may be asked to provide a short teaching demonstration as part of the recruitment process A one-year commitment is preferred Lessons take place at students' homes within Belfast and surrounding areas This position is on a self-employed basis

Compensation & Hours:

Pay rate: 20-30 per hour (depending on level and lesson type) Flexible schedule: 4-25 hours weekly (weekdays and/or weekends available) Requirements: UK bank account, legal right to work in NI, and an enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to complete one)
