We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team in a large scale catering operation within a busy residential environment. High volume, fast delivery up to 1200 meals 3 times a day. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment. This position involves supporting chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, ensuring that food preparation areas are organized and sanitized, . A passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Shifts: 12 hours shifts 5 days out of 7, including some weekends

Responsibilities

Cleaning and sanitation:

Washing pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen utensils by hand or using a commercial dishwasher. Cleaning and disinfecting all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, work surfaces, stovetops, walls, and floors. Sweeping and mopping floors regularly throughout and at the end of a shift. Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as fridges, freezers, ovens, and grills.

Waste management:

Emptying waste bins and recycling containers and disposing of rubbish in the correct manner. Clearing and organising waste disposal areas.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
