Job Description

The Greyhound Inn are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team.

We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of a great local independent business to help drive forward the best customer service and experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning:

Washing dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment.

Hygiene:

Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas.

Waste Management:

Emptying bins, disposing of waste, and managing recycling.

Assisting with Food Preparation:

Peeling vegetables, chopping ingredients, and preparing other basic food items as directed by the chef.

Organising:

Ensuring the kitchen is tidy and organised, including storing equipment and supplies.

Equipment Maintenance:

Reporting any faulty equipment to the appropriate staff and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

Teamwork:

Working effectively with the kitchen team, communicating tasks and maintaining a positive work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
