Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pot Wash / Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen operations within our hotel/restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy. Help with the washing up of kitchen utensils, pots, and pans after service. Support the team during service by preparing garnishes and assisting with plating dishes as required. Ensure that food storage areas are well-organised and that ingredients are stored correctly to maintain freshness. Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to develop skills in cooking and food presentation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
