Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at The Cricketers Arms. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen staff with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your contributions will help us deliver outstanding dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Help with the washing up of dishes, pots, and pans to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by preparing ingredients as needed. Assist in inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying chefs of shortages.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to 14.60 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
