Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in fabrication and finishing processes. The position is full-time and involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are paramount.

Duties



Prepare metal components for coating by cleaning, masking, and surface preparation Operate powder coating equipment with precision to apply even coats on designated surfaces Monitor coating thickness and quality throughout the process, making adjustments as necessary Use hand tools and power tools to assemble or modify parts as required before or after coating Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery to ensure optimal performance Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations

Skills



Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot coating equipment Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques Experience in construction painting, welding, or assembly is advantageous Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating coating thicknesses or component dimensions Warehouse experience or familiarity with industrial environments is beneficial Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication methods enhances versatility in the role Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
