We are seeking a Powder Coater/Panel Production Manager to join our manufacturing site in Knowsley. In this role, you will be a vital link to the site, providing direct support to the Site Manager and leading other team members.

Working time 7am - 3pm

As a Powder Coater/Panel Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations during your assigned shift. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Managing Production and Fabrication:

Oversee the powder coating and panel production processes, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders. Manage resources, coordinate workflows, and optimise productivity to meet customer demands.

Quality Control:

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet required standards. Ensure attention to detail and a commitment to quality to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold our business reputation.

Staff Supervision:

Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration through strong leadership.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and supplies.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing efficient and cost-effective solutions. Streamline operations to increase productivity and profitability.

Health and Safety:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Promote a culture of safety to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Communication and Reporting:

Liaise with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of orders. Prepare reports on production output, quality control, and any issues or incidents that occur.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and requirements:

Experience:

Willingness to be 'hands-on' and embrace change. Management experience preferred but not essential. Experience of powder coating prefered.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of powder coating and panel production processes, equipment, and quality control standards.

Leadership Skills:

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Organisational Skills:

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, capable of handling unexpected challenges.
