Thrive Chiropractic & Health Clinic is a well-established, family-run organisation operating a busy and expanding healthcare clinic in Buckingham, and more recently opening a new sister clinic in Milton Keynes. Our professional team includes Chiropractors, a Physiotherapist, Sports Massage Therapists, Men's Health Practitioner, and a dedicated team of clinic assistants. The Buckingham clinic is situated alongside Manor Farm and the Larder Cafe, offering scenic countryside views and complimentary parking. Our Milton Keynes location is centrally based in a modern business centre.
We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and self-led Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of both clinics. This is a hands-on role that requires balancing strategic oversights with operational delivery. You'll work closely with the Directors and wider team to ensure smooth operations, exceptional patient experiences, and continued business growth.
This role would suit a confident and experienced clinic or practice manager who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building relationships, and takes pride in creating calm, well-run systems that support both patients and our team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Practice Manager will oversee daily operations, people management, and clinic development across both sites.
Leadership & Team Management
Provide effective line management and support to our team of clinic assistants
Lead with empathy and integrity, fostering a supportive and motivating work environment
Oversee team workload, delegate tasks, and manage staff holidays and absences
Support clinician onboarding and training
Assist in recruitment and team training initiatives
Work collaboratively with the Directors to implement strategic priorities and maintain alignment across both clinics
Maintain clear communication across both clinic sites, ensuring consistency in standards, systems, and messaging
Operations & Compliance
Take ownership of daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth running and proactive resolution of issues before they escalate
Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation in line with best practice
Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection, and clinic standards
Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare regular operational reports
Manage stock levels, suppliers, and maintenance schedules
Ensure smooth front desk operations and a consistently excellent patient journey
Provide cover for reception as required, including handling calls, bookings, and payments
Liaise with and maintain effective working relationships with 3rd party suppliers who support our operations
Finance & Business Administration
Support financial operations including invoicing, cash reconciliation, payroll and clinician remuneration
Monitor practice performance, profit & loss, and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth
Liaise with insurance companies and oversee patient billing queries
Marketing & Business Development
Take an active role in coordinating local marketing initiatives, developing community and business partnerships, and organising clinic events to promote services and enhance visibility.
Coordinate updates to the website and social media content as directed by the Directors
Executive Support
Work collaboratively with the Directors to implement key business initiatives and ensure operational follow-through
Provide administrative and operational support where needed to maintain focus on strategic objectives

Essential Requirements:
Minimum one year in a leadership or management role

Financial literacy and competence with spreadsheets
Positive attitude and professional presentation
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience in a private healthcare or multi-site environment
Familiarity with clinic management software (e.g. Jane, Cliniko or similar)
People management experience (people development, absence management, complaint handling)
Marketing or business development experience
