We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth management of clinical and administrative functions, fostering a positive environment for staff and clients, and maintaining high standards of care. Duties
Supervise and support veterinary and administrative staff, ensuring effective teamwork and high performance
Oversee financial management, including budgeting, billing, and expense control
Manage human resources activities such as recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and staff development programmes
Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, health and safety standards, and practice policies
Coordinate appointment scheduling, client communication, and patient care logistics
Maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, overseeing procurement processes
Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of veterinary care
Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a veterinary or healthcare setting
Strong management background with demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively
Knowledge of financial management principles relevant to a clinical environment
Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and staff development
Veterinary experience is highly desirable but not essential; however, familiarity with veterinary procedures and protocols is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
MUST have valid GDC registration and indemnity insurance
MUST have experience within a dental practice
This position requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills who can motivate staff whilst maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional client service. The Practice Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our practice through strategic planning and operational excellence.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 17.00-18.00 per hour
