We're seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our fantastic team at Adams Vets, you will support our Director of Practice and Clinical Services in managing our two busy practices. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a sharp eye for operational efficiency, and a passion for delivering excellent client service.
Role Details
As Practice Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing day-to-day operations. You'll work closely with the Director of Practice & Clinical Services managing budgets, financial reporting, and billing processes to ensure efficiency and profitability, while also maintaining strong client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns promptly. The role includes developing and implementing procedures to optimise operational efficiency, such as scheduling, inventory management, and patient flow, along with ensuring full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and veterinary standards. You will also uphold health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff, clients, and animals, and proactively address operational challenges by identifying practical solutions that enhance both practice performance and client satisfaction.
Your focus will be on ensuring a smooth-running clinic environment where staff feel supported and patients and clients receive the highest standards of care.
Work Schedule
This is a flexible role offering between 30 and 40 hours per week, with rota patterns and working hours open to negotiation. We are happy to consider full-time or part-time candidates to find the right fit for you and the business.
About the team
At Adams we are a friendly, supportive team, comprised of our Director of Practice & Clinical Services, 4 vets, 5 registered veterinary nurses alongside another 8 dedicated support staff.
Adams's two clinics are based in the vibrant city of Liverpool, perfect for those seeking a balance between busy city living and the tranquility of the countryside, with both North Wales and the Lake District not too far away
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing teams in a veterinary or similar healthcare setting, with the ability to optimise operations and lead with a positive, "one team" approach. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to build strong relationships within the veterinary community and deliver outstanding client service.
A full, clean driving licence is required as you will be supporting two practice locations.
